Position: Cane Head (AGM/DGM)
Experience-: 20 – 25 years

Roles & Responsibility:
Job Purpose:
To ensure continued supply of cane for carrying out production as per plan in the short and long term
- Assessment of cane potential
- Plan for the current and future requirements – planting, registration, varietals
- Deployment and review of plan
- Ensure supply of adequate cane and review the cane supply daily.
- Monitor sugarcane for pest / disease incidence and to initiate appropriate corrective / preventive action.
- Co-ordinate for provision of financial services to farmers
- Maintain cordial relationship with Cane growers and liaison with financial institutions, near by factories and Government agencies.
- Conduct various major developmental activities like formation of roads, irrigation schemes etc in cane command area.
- Procure cane from other sources likewise diverting the excess cane to other sources in consultations with Heads of Plant in case of shortfall/excess of cane availability.
- Monitor cane yard and cane weighment activities.
- Meet statutory, safety and environmental requirements as applicable
